Alan Bass

Alan has been in the technology arena for over 20 years. Prior to joining Korbitec in February 2008, he was President of Digimerge Technologies Inc and COO of Lorex Canada Inc./Lorex International Inc., both companies are developers of video surveillance solutions. While there, he was responsible for domestic and international growth in the consumer and professional markets.  Alan’s other senior managerial positions include COO of business to business ecommerce solution providers EC-Gate and President and COO of Aztech New Media Corp., a software publisher of content for the consumer and small business market.

Paul Engels
VP Sales and Marketing

Paul’s career spans over 20 years with technology related companies.  He is an accomplished veteran in B2B technology, most recently as head of sales and marketing of a global, managed web hosting and applications provider.  His software sales experience and contacts amongst Canadian law practices are welcome at Korbitec.

Karen Daly, Manager
Training and Client Service

Karen has been involved with ACL since 2000.   She joined Korbitec in January 2007 after a career of over 20 years as a legal assistant.  Her last 12 years were spent at a firm widely acknowledged as one of Canada's premier litigation and advocacy practice.   Karen has experience in complex litigation matters, such as business litigation and medical malpractice.  Karen was the firm’s ACL Administrator, which involved training and troubleshooting.  In addition, she was also active in the beta product testing for ACL2.

James Picano
Technical Support

James joined Xenex Media, the predecessor company to Korbitec in September 2004.  James has been in the tech industry for 9 years and brings an extensive amount of technical support  and IT experience to the company.  He has been responsible for developing support procedures and our installation process.  Prior to Korbitec, James was a technical support representative at Datacare Software Group (now Compushare Governance Services).  His responsibilities included installing the GCM and Monicord software packages at clients across North America and resolving both user and technical issues.
