The articles outline how Kia set out to audit their outside counsel’s (as well as some firms who were pitching for their business) competence with technology. The goal was not to embarrass the lawyers but in fact to test their hypothesis that lawyers, as a group, are deficient in their use of technology and therefore are costing firms outrageous sums.
